Terms of Service
Effective September 19, 2026 · Version 2026-09-19
These Terms are an agreement between PetLoyal, the Ontario, Canada operator of the PetLoyal service (“PetLoyal,” “we,” or “us”), and the person or business using the service (“you”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
The service
PetLoyal provides hosted software for pet-care businesses to manage bookings, customer and pet records, communications, loyalty programs, referrals, and subscriptions. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your account term. We may improve or change features while preserving the service’s core purpose.
Eligibility and accounts
You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and authority to bind the business you identify. You must provide accurate information, protect account credentials, restrict access to authorized users, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Customer responsibilities
You control the information entered into the service and are responsible for its accuracy, legality, and collection. You must provide required privacy notices, obtain required consent, honour customer rights, keep appropriate records, and use communications features in compliance with Canadian anti-spam, privacy, consumer-protection, and other applicable laws. You are responsible for your services, pricing, appointments, customers, and disputes with them.
Fees, trial, and billing
PetLoyal offers the trial and paid plans described on the pricing and checkout pages. Unless stated otherwise, subscription fees are in Canadian dollars, billed in advance, and exclusive of applicable taxes. A paid subscription renews for successive billing periods until cancelled. You authorize our payment processor to charge the selected payment method. Except where law requires otherwise, paid fees are non-refundable. Price changes apply prospectively after reasonable notice.
Acceptable use
Do not use PetLoyal unlawfully; send deceptive, abusive, or unsolicited communications; upload malicious code; probe or disrupt security; access another tenant’s data; scrape or reverse engineer the service except where law permits; infringe rights; or use the service to create a competing product. You must not submit unnecessary highly sensitive information.
Third-party services
The service depends on third-party hosting, authentication, payment, email, and SMS providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party products, networks, or outages outside our reasonable control, but we select and oversee providers appropriate to the service.
Suspension
We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful or harmful use, overdue undisputed fees, a material breach, or a threat to the service or others. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure and will limit suspension to what is reasonably necessary.
Ownership and feedback
PetLoyal and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, branding, and documentation. You retain rights in your data and authorize us to process it only to provide, secure, support, and improve the service and meet legal obligations. If you provide feedback, we may use it without restriction or payment.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, particular business results, or that the service replaces professional, medical, legal, tax, or veterinary advice. Statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data. PetLoyal’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees you paid to PetLoyal in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Termination
You may stop using the service and cancel as described in the billing interface. Either party may terminate for an uncured material breach after reasonable notice, or immediately where the breach cannot be cured, continued service would be unlawful, or insolvency law permits. On termination, access ends and outstanding fees remain due. Contact us before termination to request an export where available. We may delete account data after a reasonable wind-down period, subject to legal retention duties.
General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the service. Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law govern, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts of Ontario unless mandatory law provides otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. You may not assign this agreement without consent; we may assign it as part of a reorganization or sale. Notices may be sent electronically. Questions: hello@petloyal.ca.
Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes. If required, we will ask you to accept the updated Terms before continued use.
